The Project

Sewmobile is a project dedicated to writing about sewing machines. They could be old or new machines, quirky or precise, fancy or simple, mechanical or computerized. I teach sewing and have been asked many times what I thought was the 'best machine out there.' I was always baffled by how to answer this question, because it leads to so many other questions. So I started this blog to explore those questions and talk about the answers I discover.

I will also post photos of the machines I write about when I can find them or take them myself (click on the photos and they will link you back to the source if they are not my photos). There are also interviews planned and pages dedicated to information about antique, vintage, and new machines. I hope this will help me learn how to answer that question and inspire others to join in my quest.

Drop me a line and tell me what you know or want to know! designcamppdx (at) gmail (dot) com.
